Hey Reader,BIG ANNOUNCEMENT At the end of last week's newsletter, I noted that I had a big announcement coming this week. WELL HERE IT IS! I would like to introduce you, faithful newsletter subscriber, to Base Camp! What is Base Camp? It is the project I've been working on for months and the business idea I dreamed of when I quit my job last April. Check out some slick of the slick marketing below, then keep scrolling for an explanation and why tf this matters so much to me. Some Bullet Points...
Why This Matters In April of 2024, I quit my job to launch Bahnfyre. For the last 400ish days, I've been trying to nail down what, exactly, I want Bahnfyre to do. I've been in the digital marketing game for a long time and, quite frankly, I can do just about anything. Unfortunately, "I can do just about anything" does not a strong sales pitch make. If we've talked in-person over the last 400ish days, you may have noticed that I've also struggled to explain what, exactly, Bahnfyre is. Long story short, I've been searching for a direction. Well, with the development and launch of Base Camp, Bahnfyre has it's first heading! Luckily, it didn't take a magical compass to point me in the right direction. It took 400ish days of discovery and support from the incredible community we've built together. That's why you're the first person to hear about Base Camp; without you, it wouldn't exist. So thank you, as always, for your past and continued support! I sincerely mean it when I say that I wouldn't be here without you. Next time you see me in person, ask me what Bahnfyre is/does. I'll probably give you something like this. Bahnfyre PR is the marketing business I've built. We focus on organic marketing and community growth for nonprofits and small businesses who lack a significant marketing budget. Our approach to marketing is wholistic and centers around unpaid/free strategies. Often, the jumping off point for this approach is social media, but we seek to implement non-traditional and overlooked marketing tactics for our clients while meeting them where they are. TL;DR: We teach you how to market without buying ads. -MCp.s.
A huge shout out to one of my first clients and long-time mentor, Jen of I've been working with Jen to develop a space where she can foster her community of Founders. Congrats Jen! Can't wait to see the group grow! --- Let's celebrate your wins next. Ask me how! |
Content Marketing for independent entrepreneurs done differently. Here's your first tip: You don't need to grow your following.
Fyreside Newsletter - 6/30/25 Hey Reader, No, I'm not talking about phishing, the steal-your-data kind or the tie-dyed-weed-smoke kind. This is an email about fishing. Baiting a hook, tossing a line, hauling a catch, gutting and cleaning, just good ol' fashion fishing! (Yeah of course it's a metaphor for marketing. Have you read this newsletter before?) Marketing is a lot like Fishing If you respond to this and say that "because you used 'like' it's actually a simile," I will unsubscribe you...
Fyreside Newsletter - 6/23/25 Hey Reader, I'm not going to lie to you, I flew home on a red-eye last night and went to bed just after 4am. Thus, a shorter newsletter. Sorry, not sorry, I saved $150 flying late. ANYWAY, let me tell you about this driver. I typically only do ride shares when I'm traveling, and even then, not that often. I've been in my fair shares of Lyfts and Ubers, but nearly as many Lyfts and Ubers as some. So, take my story with a grain of salt. You may have a worse ride...
Fyreside Newsletter - 6/16/25 Hey Reader, Hot take: 2FA is a good thing. It's my absolute least favorite good thing, but it's a good thing. I'll be honest, I don't know how hot that take actually is. Maybe everyone is good with 2FA these days, but my recent stint working in higher education tells me otherwise. Either way, two-factor authentication is a phenomenal security concept that has added a much-needed layer of protection in the digital age. The magic behind 2FA are the things it...
